We’re a family business run by father & son team Pete & Thomas Garner. Established in 2012 we’re the only event tipi business based in the Lake District covering events in the North of England, Scotland and further afield.
Based in the Lake District’s Northern Fells using Authentic Nordic Tipis from sub Arctic Sweden we named our business Fjell Event Tipis. Fjell means mountain and is the original Norse spelling of fell. A link to our own Scandinavian heritage left by Lakeland’s Norse settlers centuries ago.
The provenance and quality of the products we supply and services we provide is very important to us. That’s why we insist on using Tentipi Tipis, the original and best Nordic Tipis and accessories on the market.
We’ve been independently reviewed by our Brides and Grooms since 2015 as part of The Wedding Industry Awards scheme. Achieving consistently high customer satisfaction scores of 94%, 96.4%, 97.2%, 97.6% and 98%, 2015 -2019. We’ve reached TWIA North West Regional Finals every year we’ve entered.
We’ve been members of MUTA, the trade association for temporary structures, since 2013. We’re the only MUTA member in Cumbria and one of only a handful in the North of England and Scotland To qualify MUTA members are required to undergo stringent quality, health & safety checks twice a year.
Fjell Event Tipis is a people business so we try to give something back to the tribal peoples who inspired the iconic structures we supply in the environment where they work so well. We support two charities Survival International and Red Squirrels Northern England.
Survival International is a global organisation working to empower tribal communities whose land, rights and lives are constantly under threat. Our tipis are inspired by the Sami People of Northern Scandinavia and the First Nation People of North America so we make a donation to Survival International for every tipi we hire.
